The Benefits of Injection Molded Cases

benefits of injection molded casesInjection molded cases are cost effective plastic cases that are made from many types of plastic.  The plastic is poured into a heated barrel and then set to cool and take the shape of the case mold.  The mold may be difficult or costly to make, but the actual production is very cost effective.  Injection molds are used to make cases for musical instruments, weapons, cell phones, pill cases, plastic bottles, toys, shipping, and much more.

Plastic cases made from an injection mold are very durable, depending on the type of plastic used for the job.  They can be very heavy and durable and/or lightweight as needed.

An injection mold ensures that the end product takes the shape of the case mold and can include molded in features such as hinges and latches.  This means that your end product will have the hinges and latches present in the case mold, which will reduce the amount of manpower required for manual labor.  This helps keep these cases cost effective!

When making these cases, there are very few scrap materials leftover.  Materials are used to fit into the molds and leftover plastics are poured into the next molds.  This is another way that these products remain cost-effective.  These plastics are so durable that they can withstand repeated high tolerances to temperature and physical stressors.
